Mossel Bay area

Mossel Bay is the Garden route town steeped in history of which details can be read here.  Visit the Post Office Tree where ancient seafarers on their way to the east left their letters for home in a shoe or iron pot. Sailors returning to Portugal would collect these letters and so the first Post Office in Southern Africa was founded.  The Dias Museum is a must for those interested in maritime history.
That said Mossel Bay is well worth visiting for much more than historical value.  Outdoor activities abound in various forms including a zipline over the ocean - the ultimate adventure!
